Captain Michael Flores brings a lifetime of fishing experience to It’s Called Fishin’, guiding anglers through some of the most productive waters in the Lake Erie Western Basin. With deep roots in the Lakeside Marblehead community, he’s spent years learning the seasonal movements of walleye, yellow perch, and smallmouth bass—knowledge that only comes from time on the water. As a local expert, Captain Flores shares more than just directions to the fish; he offers insight into the lake’s unique patterns and how to adapt with them.
With a strong focus on safety and technique, Captain Flores is known for creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for all anglers, whether it’s your first trip or you’re a seasoned regular. He’s patient with beginners and always willing to share tips on bait presentation, casting, or interpreting conditions. His laid-back, knowledgeable style helps guests build confidence while enjoying a genuine Lake Erie fishing charter experience.
From spring walleye runs to mid-summer perch action and fall bass fishing, Captain Flores adjusts each trip to suit the season. Whether the day calls for trolling deep channels or drifting near the islands, he helps guests understand why certain tactics work best depending on time of year and weather conditions. His goal is simple: help everyone on board enjoy the process as much as the catch, with a flexible approach that fits a wide range of fishing styles.
