It’s Called Fishin' is a Lake Erie charter service led by Captain Michael Flores, offering laid-back, personalized trips for families, friends, and fishing enthusiasts of all skill levels. With expert knowledge of Lake Erie’s Western Basin, Captain Michael guides guests through some of the lake’s most productive waters, targeting walleye and yellow perch based on seasonal movement and conditions.
Lake Erie is famously known as the Walleye Capital of the World, and for good reason. Its unique mix of reefs, islands, and shallow structure makes it one of the best freshwater fisheries on the planet. Thanks to ongoing conservation efforts, this ecosystem stays healthy, vibrant, and teeming with opportunities for anglers.
What sets It’s Called Fishin' apart is Captain Michael’s easygoing, educational approach. Whether you're new to fishing or have years of experience, you'll find his charters welcoming and hands-on. He’s especially great with kids and families, offering instruction, encouragement, and a fun atmosphere where guests feel supported and engaged every step of the way.
Each trip is tailored to the group’s goals, whether that means chasing a hot bite, exploring new techniques, or just spending quality time on the water. Scenic sunset cruises are also available for those looking to enjoy the lake’s beauty without a rod in hand.
With a reputation for honesty, patience, and deep local knowledge, It’s Called Fishin' delivers more than just a great day of fishing; it’s a chance to connect, learn, and share an unforgettable Lake Erie experience.
